I just wanted to drop in a quick post to let you all know I am still around! So far the Scentsy sales are coming along fine. It is really amazing to me how it really seems to sell itself.

Okay, so the real reason I am putting up this post is because I am actually doing it from my phone! How cool is that!? Well I’m hoping that it will allow me to update a little more often and keep track a little better since life has gotten really hectic lately!

So more soon…I promise. I have a few things to share, I just need time to be able to get it together so it is coherent.

More later!

Hey all,

I now have one of the Scentsy Plug Ins! I got my first order under my belt the other day, (WOOHOO!!), and sold enough to get a half-off item so I bought myself the Sand Dollar Plug In Warmer for the bathroom and I love it! It is the perfect size for the bathroom.

One reason why I bought the Sand Dollar Plug In Warmer is because it is a lighter color. The Zebra Warmer that I got with the Scentsy Starter Kit has a black dish and you can’t tell what color the wax in it is! It kind of helps me remember which scent I put in it by being able to see the color. Some are easy to remember just by the smell, but if you saw my picture of the starter kit, you can see how many sample scents come with it and it is just impossible to remember which one you put in it by the scent alone.

So anyway, back to the Scentsy Plug In I bought. One thing that I was really wondering about is whether or not the plug would be able to turn. In my bathroom I only have one outlet and it is mounted sideways. Well, sure enough, the plug on the warmer has 270 degrees of movement so that you can orient it however you need to. It uses a 15 watt bulb, and the base is easily detached so that you can swap out fragrances quickly. The plug in also comes with a little rubber washer that you can use where you connect the plug to the base. It already has one so I guess the extra one is in case it is too loose or something and you need it a little tighter. So far, I have only put 1 cube in the warmer and it is more than enough for my small bathroom.

So there is my review on the Scentsy Plug Ins. I couldn’t be more happy with it. They have several different styles of plug ins, I just really like the Sand Dollar Plug In.

More later.

WOOHOO!!

Okay, my Scentsy Starter Kit actually arrived on Thursday but I am just now getting around to telling you about it. My husband and I have been having a blast checking out the scents over the weekend. I didn’t take it to work with me on Friday because I didn’t realize the stuff was on my porch until almost bedtime Thursday night and wasn’t prepared. But I’ll take it on Monday and see how things pan out.

So on to the kit. HOLY COW!! You get a whole bunch of stuff for your enrollment fee! I counted 104 different scents that came with the kit! You read that right…104!! That is a lot of scents! Plus it comes with a full size warmer and 4 replacement bulbs. The warmer I got with my kit is the Zebra Scentsy Warmer. I don’t know if it is just a random warmer that they put in the Scentsy starter kit, but I like it! I also got the fall/winter catalogs from 2009 and the spring/summer catalogs for 2010. These will be handed out at work hopefully. Maybe not so much on the 2009 catalogs, but definitely the 2010 ones. I also got a little starter pack of business cards and some brochures. Also included was a binder for keeping the business stuff organized and it is decorated with the Scentsy logo so it looks cool too! And of course, I got the all important order forms! Can’t make money without those! Well, I guess you can if you order stuff online, but you get my point!

So how about those scents?! Well, I haven’t found one that I haven’t liked yet! We’ve been putting one in the warmer in the kitchen and letting it go for a couple of hours to see how we like it, then swapping it out for a different one. It really is easy to swap them out too. You just pour the wax back into the original container, wipe out the dish with a paper towel, and then put in the new scent. It takes all of about 2 minutes so it is no hassle at all! As far as the scents themselves go, if you read my last site you know that I use to bake bread or cookies just to get the smell of it in the house for when I would have company (well, and to eat of course!), so imagine my surprise when I found a cookie scent and an apple pie scent! They smell great too!

Well, that is it for now. I’ll post more after I take my Scentsy starter kit to work with me and see how that goes. It’s time to get into the business end of this thing and get this stuff paying for itself, and then paying me!

Catch ya later,

Well, in case this site looks kind of familiar to you, it is because I had another blog that I had started before I became a Scentsy consultant that looked just like this and the domain name that I had purchased violated Scentsy’s terms and policies because I had their company name in the URL. Oh well, no biggie, if you saw the other site you know that there wasn’t much to it anyway.

So hopefully this one will be fine and I can move on from here. I just purchased my Scentsy starter kit and it hasn’t come in the mail yet, but I am excited and can’t wait. I think this is going to be a lot of fun, so more later!
